Well, this last week was a good one to be on the water. The winds were calm, the water warmed up a bit and the fish are really showing up to eat! What didn’t we catch this week, Snook, Redfish, Flounder, Trout, and Mackeral all came to the boat on a consistent basis. We ended this week with a bang as I had the privilege of taking my clients Kendall and Kendall Jr. out for a Birthday fishing trip yesterday.
The wind picked after being relatively calm for almost a week but that didn’t bother us or the fish. After loading the baitwell with perfect sized sardines we were off to get out of the wind and get on the fish. Our first order of business was to get some nice trout for Kendall Jr.’s birthday dinner. We ended up catching trout one after another for over two hours and kept a few nice one’s for the fryer. When the tide got higher we moved into the river to hunt for some Snook. Kendall Jr. put on a fishing clinic as he was catching 3 fish for every 1 his dad caught. We ended the day with some nice Trout dinner and Snook for the memory bank. These next few weeks should be some of the best of the year as the water continues to warm up. So till next time, get out on the water, take a kid fishing, and CATCH SOME FISH!
