A native Floridian, published outdoor writer, and accomplished tournament angler, he is one of the winningest captains in Tampa Bay history.

Beyond fishing, Matt's life is grounded in his faith and love for God. He is married to his favorite lady angler and has two amazing kids. He considers it a true blessing from God to pursue his passion while sharing His creation with the best clients on earth.

Captain Matt Santiago Sportfishing operates three impeccably maintained boats, with his primary charter boat being a Custom-Built 2023 Sabalo 27. This inshore and nearshore fishing machine can easily navigate shallow flats while still providing ample space to comfortably fish 4 to 6 people.

All boats are equipped with top-of-the-line SIMRAD electronics and premium Shimano fishing tackle, ensuring a safe, productive, and unforgettable day on the water.
